Reading Slumps, Night On The Towns, and a New Katniss Stone Book

Hello!
I'm just starting to get back into blogging so this may be a bit rough.  As you may have guessed from the title I've been in a bit of a reading slump.  I've been writing a lot more and apparently reading fanfictions doesn't count for reading in 'the real world'.
Also, I went to Night On The Towns!  There are some pictures on my instagram (_Saradactly__) if you want to check that out and maybe give me a follow.
Finally, I'm working on a new Katniss Stone book and fixing up Selected for publishers to take a peek at.
Until next time,
Katniss Stone

Hate List by Jennifer Brown

Hello!
Today we are going to be discussing Hate List by Jennifer Brown. Now, this is my first official review post of 2015 so let me explain how we are going to do this before we begin. At the beginning of the post I will state the book that is being reviewed, show a picture of the book being reviewed, and give a short non-spoilery summary of the book. After all of that there will be a page break. If you specifically clicked on this post there won't be a page break, but you will be aware when the spoilers start. Alright, enough of that, let's get into the story.

Hate List is written from the point of view of Valerie Leftman, a high school senior whose boyfriend committed a school shooting. Despite knowing just as much about the shooting as everyone else, and her own serious injury, she's seen as guilty because of the list. The list was just a silly little thing to Valerie, but it was what Nick used to pick his targets. Now, after a summer of hiding from everyone else, Valerie is forced to return to Garvin High, and face the guilt of the previous year. While navigating through forgotten friendships, family issues, and memories of the boy she once loved, Valerie must grasp the tragedy that took place, and her role in it, in order to move on with her new life.

John Green Is Writing A New Book!?

Guess what bookworms? John Green is writing a new book!

The book is untitled and we know nothing about it except that he's writing it, but even that fact is enough to leave nerdfighters excited.

John Green has confirmed this himself on Tumblr saying

....I like writing stories. It is pretty much my favorite thing to do. Hopefully I will write many, many more books—so many that you become tired of them and all become Hipster John Green Fans and say, “His early stuff was okay but after TFiOS he just became a hack.

It's time for a happy dance!

In the meantime, we'll just have to wait until some more information pops up.

Thanks for reading,
Katniss Stone

P.S. What do you guys think of me doing pictures frequently? Do you like it or does it ruin the post?

Out takes:

It's been a while

What's happening my booklion friends? Unless you're new here, you may have noticed I haven't posted in a long while. I could blame this on homework and school and make up some lie that I have a life outside of my computer and books, but instead I'm going to tell you the truth, which is I've been too lazy to write on this blog. Sorry for the long wait, but now that 2015 is here I'm ready to get things up and ready.

This year I'd like to post to this blog twice a month (excluding January). What would be absolutely fantastic is if you recommended books to me. In an attempt to be a bit more organized this year, I'm also going to be coming up with an agenda for this blog.  I've just now begun work on the agenda and would really love it if you could help a book lover out! Here's my rough draft of an agenda:

February
Girl Online by Zoe Sugg
I've recently become a fan of Zoe and would love to read a book with some of her ideas in it. (yes I am aware she used a ghost writer)

Blackbrooke by Emma Silver
I don't normally read in the horror genre and Emma sent me this book a while ago, so I might as well read it and review it for you.

March
Shattered by Teri Terry
I've enjoyed the Slated trilogy books since the beginning and I honestly don't know why I haven't devoured this sure to be thrilling book.

An Abundance of Katherines by John Green

April
I Was Here by Gayle Forman
Anyone who watched Christine Riccio would know "Gayle Forman has a new book!"

The Memory Key by Liana Liu

May
Paper Town by John Green
It seemed only fitting to review his book just before the movie came out.

The Heir by Kiera Cass
As much as America Singer annoys me, I enjoy The Selection books, and this one just so happens to be released on May 5th.

June
The Orphan Queen by Jodi Meadows

UNKNOWN

July
UNKNOWN

August
Hello, I Love You by Katie M. Stout

UNKNOWN
September
UNKNOWN
October
UNKNOWN
November
UNKNOWN
December
UNKNOWN

As you can see, later on in the year my agenda gets a bit, well, blank. Again, I'd love it if you'd recommend something to read, or even make the agenda more to your liking. A few of these books don't even come out until later, so keep that in mind if you would like to revise this.

If I Stay

Okay, so some of my fellow Bookworms / Booklions may have heard of If I Stay by Gayle Forman. Well, you see before we discuss this beautiful piece of literature, let me tell you my If I Stay story; The day  night I bought If I Stay  was when I saw the trailer at the movie The Fault In Our Stars. I had already heard about the book through various BookTubers and it was high up on my Goodreads to read list. I didn't really know what the book was about, because the trailer made almost no sense, and if it would have normally I was to hyped up for TFIOS that I wasn't really paying very much attention. So anyways, when I got home from the TFIOS movie I went to the Kindle Fire Book Store and found out that If I Stay was on Sale!!! Clearly the universe just wanted to buy this book. So I did. And that's my If I Stay story.

So I haven't actually finished the book, but I have gotten far enough in the story to cry when I watch the trailers. I do not know the ending of the story. Please DO NOT comment the ending or I will forever hate you. Look below for an accurate description.
My reaction to people who spoil books without me asking them to.
Also, I can't really quite decide yet what I want her to do yet, and I feel like if its going to be like this if I find out:
So, I am perfectly willing to discuss this book with you, but please note I am at this part so DO NOT SPOIL it for me! I'm on page 64. (exactly 25%) I am at the part where Mia is talking about the time her mom snuck her into a casino, and how the ICU is like that.  DO NOT SPEAK TO ME FURTHER THAN THAT!  Also please do not comment with Have you read about {insert part I haven't read here}? that spoils it!

Anyways, if you hadn't heard of If I Stay before this, it is a fantastic work of literature and you should read it sometime!

City of Fallen Angels (SRLR 1 or 3)

City of Fallen begins with Simon and Isabelle on a date. While they are talking about Luke and Jocelyn's wedding, to subjugates come and force Simon to meet a vampire named Camille. When Simon goes and meets her, she asks him to join her to defeat Raphael. She gives Simon 5 days to decide. Meanwhile, Clary, Jace, Luke, amd Maryse find out there has been a recent string of dead Shadowhunters. When given the chance to talk to one, they find out someone named Camille did it. At one of Simon's band practices, a guy named Kyle auditions for the role of lead singer. He gets the part and allows Simon to move into his apartment. I hope Kyle doesn't turn out to be evil.
