<div style="text-align: center;">
Hello!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm just starting to get back into blogging so this may be a bit rough. As you may have guessed from the title I've been in a bit of a reading slump. I've been writing a lot more and apparently reading fanfictions doesn't count for reading in 'the real world'.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Also, I went to Night On The Towns! There are some pictures on my instagram (_Saradactly__) if you want to check that out and maybe give me a follow.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Finally, I'm working on a new Katniss Stone book and fixing up Selected for publishers to take a peek at. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Until next time,</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Hello!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Today we are going to be discussing <i>Hate List </i>by Jennifer Brown. Now, this is my first official review post of 2015 so let me explain how we are going to do this before we begin. At the beginning of the post I will state the book that is being reviewed, show a picture of the book being reviewed, and give a short non-spoilery summary of the book. After all of that there will be a page break. If you specifically clicked on this post there won't be a page break, but you will be aware when the spoilers start. Alright, enough of that, let's get into the story.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Hate List </i>is written from the point of view of Valerie Leftman, a high school senior whose boyfriend committed a school shooting. Despite knowing just as much about the shooting as everyone else, and her own serious injury, she's seen as guilty because of the list. The list was just a silly little thing to Valerie, but it was what Nick used to pick his targets. Now, after a summer of hiding from everyone else, Valerie is forced to return to Garvin High, and face the guilt of the previous year. While navigating through forgotten friendships, family issues, and memories of the boy she once loved, Valerie must grasp the tragedy that took place, and her role in it, in order to move on with her new life. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Let's begin or more in-depth study of this book.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Valerie (or Val) was very easy for me to relate to. As a teenager, I found that issues such as broken friendships, not trusting adults, and frustration with life is quite relevant. Valerie also lives in a broken home, making her just *that* much more relatable to many teens. This may make me seem like a horrible person, but I honestly fell completely in love with Nick. As someone who reads to calm down, Nick was relatable, as well as being one of the cutest boyfriends ever. (I'm sorry my thoughts aren't too well put together, I literally finished the book ten minutes ago and the emotions are really raw.) One of my favorite characters in the book was Dr. Hieler. Dr. Hieler encouraged Valerie through everything, and honestly, was five times (maybe even more) better than her parents at talking to her. Dr. Hieler was one of the few characters who believed that Valerie had nothing to do with the shooting. I also loved how Dr. Hieler, while being incredibly comforting, was very real. One of my favorite quotes from Dr. Hieler was: </div>
<blockquote class="tr_bq" style="text-align: center;">
Life isn't fair. A fair's a place where you eat corn dogs and ride the ferris wheel. </blockquote>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIt-pLdVtqE42AKLfOh79HH5Ruxrc0QCIaO49oddrid6ttxWduml5WF_YjqKPKQ-9xVyEGwuZr27CQW2IpetGQJU8Q1WIREYAoYypC8Wb7zJfTikx4ajWsiZ-nzNh9sfBkhC5BvXBo1OmM/s1600/18061eaf5152e02ed9779763bb656683.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIt-pLdVtqE42AKLfOh79HH5Ruxrc0QCIaO49oddrid6ttxWduml5WF_YjqKPKQ-9xVyEGwuZr27CQW2IpetGQJU8Q1WIREYAoYypC8Wb7zJfTikx4ajWsiZ-nzNh9sfBkhC5BvXBo1OmM/s1600/18061eaf5152e02ed9779763bb656683.jpg" height="310" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Another one of my favorite characters was Bea. I feel as though Bea provided Valerie with a chance to release herself like Nick did when he read Shakespeare. Now, least favorite characters. The character I hated the most was Valerie's dad. Despite the fact that Valerie tried her hardest to please him, he was always completely rude and resentful back. He truly believed that even though his daughter never had picked up a gun, she was responsible for the deaths of the people Nick killed. Valerie's father was also a huge source of distress at home, later on in the story we find out that is because he was having an affair with someone who works for him. Eventually, Valerie's father leaves, telling her that he will never forgive her for what she never intended to do. In all honesty, 99 percent of the time Valerie's father talked, I want to reach into the story and throw him into the depths of tartarus. The other characters I strongly disliked included Mr. Angerson, Angela Dash, and Jenny Leftman (Valerie's mother). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The last thing I'm going to write about is my favorite quotes. I like so many passages in this book, and since I didn't think about writing a review until just now, I didn't keep track of them, so these are only a few of my favorites. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Just like there's always time for pain, there's always time for healing.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Because who you are is supposed to be the easiest question in the world to answer, right?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sometimes even stuff you expect to happen can still hurt.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3PsjGgp8rDDD9RVpoakyD9__L4LsNpzVcdlBK8EyZ4z6TEnaoTtkhH_wfnqcKkKxlzat91eM1N3XlvRdz85WDNYdE5Yxrb63ibvoZ9TEwhruawhMvIFbhu5Wf9pVN25N8f-IiHsNfNoo0/s1600/tumblr_m65enbLbgO1r2eouqo1_500.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3PsjGgp8rDDD9RVpoakyD9__L4LsNpzVcdlBK8EyZ4z6TEnaoTtkhH_wfnqcKkKxlzat91eM1N3XlvRdz85WDNYdE5Yxrb63ibvoZ9TEwhruawhMvIFbhu5Wf9pVN25N8f-IiHsNfNoo0/s1600/tumblr_m65enbLbgO1r2eouqo1_500.jpg" height="179" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But what he didn't understand was that we all had to be losers, too. Because you can't have one without the other. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
People do it all the time -- assume they "know" what's going on in someone else's head. That's impossible. And to think that it's possible is a mistake. A really big mistake. A life-ruining one if you're not careful.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
and finally my favorite:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left;">At Garvin High we were dealt a hard dose of reality this year. People hate. That's our reality. People hate and are hated and carry grudges and want punishments ... I don't know if it's possible to take away from people. Not even people like us, who've seen firsthand what hate can do. We're all hurting. We're all going to be hurting for a long time. And we, probably more than anyone else out there, will be searching for a new reality every day. A better one ... But in order to change reality you have to be willing to listen and to learn. And to hear. To actually hear.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
What's happening my booklion friends? Unless you're new here, you may have noticed I haven't posted in a <i style="font-weight: bold;">long </i>while. I could blame this on homework and school and make up some lie that I have a life outside of my computer and books, but instead I'm going to tell you the truth, which is I've been too lazy to write on this blog. Sorry for the long wait, but now that 2015 is here I'm ready to get things up and ready. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This year I'd like to post to this blog twice a month (excluding January). What would be absolutely fantastic is if you recommended books to me. In an attempt to be a bit more organized this year, I'm also going to be coming up with an agenda for this blog. I've just now begun work on the agenda and would really love it if you could help a book lover out! Here's my rough draft of an agenda:</div>

<i>Girl Online </i>by Zoe Sugg</div>

I've recently become a fan of Zoe and would love to read a book with some of her ideas in it. (yes I am aware she used a ghost writer)</div>

I don't normally read in the horror genre and Emma sent me this book a while ago, so I might as well read it and review it for you.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Okay, so some of my fellow Bookworms / Booklions may have heard of <u><i>If I Stay</i></u> by Gayle Forman. Well, you see before we discuss this beautiful piece of literature, let me tell you my <u><i>If I Stay</i></u> story; The <strike>day </strike> night I bought <u style="font-style: italic;">If I Stay </u> was when I saw the trailer at the movie <u style="font-style: italic;">The Fault In Our Stars.</u> I had already heard about the book through various BookTubers and it was high up on my Goodreads to read list. I didn't really know what the book was about, because the trailer made almost no sense, and if it would have normally I was to hyped up for TFIOS that I wasn't really paying very much attention. So anyways, when I got home from the TFIOS movie I went to the Kindle Fire Book Store and found out that <u style="font-style: italic;">If I Stay </u>was on Sale!!! Clearly the universe just wanted to buy this book. So I did. And that's my <u><i>If I Stay</i> </u>story.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGussOqvAOmsGpks4gTZe9bM_ddaC_Uh3rLV7HgrHAD6Shw5c1lN9V5PAULsmqoad6S9jsN14WJRZrzS8AjAFNa6b9YvOyc2MglTarZwY5EY_H4Fa55NTb5uWRqxG0M36jEf8dZDTCN2br/s1600/iis2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGussOqvAOmsGpks4gTZe9bM_ddaC_Uh3rLV7HgrHAD6Shw5c1lN9V5PAULsmqoad6S9jsN14WJRZrzS8AjAFNa6b9YvOyc2MglTarZwY5EY_H4Fa55NTb5uWRqxG0M36jEf8dZDTCN2br/s1600/iis2.jpg" height="640" width="436" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So I haven't actually finished the book, but I have gotten far enough in the story to cry when I watch the trailers. <b>I do not know the ending of the story. Please DO NOT comment the ending or I will forever hate you. Look below for an accurate description.<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwz0FWTD69QQWz4jDTvhbFnNkQen78Oe0L3Iwvcr5yed4wheSrZT7mOj3QjW7ZRAJfN3pMiZ4mnW23iYSd8yvCQfvHmiyj6qUpeeIitgEAKSV_KS3M_VOQ5okyAhFtPhM7INT1H_F3QbuX/s1600/images+(1).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwz0FWTD69QQWz4jDTvhbFnNkQen78Oe0L3Iwvcr5yed4wheSrZT7mOj3QjW7ZRAJfN3pMiZ4mnW23iYSd8yvCQfvHmiyj6qUpeeIitgEAKSV_KS3M_VOQ5okyAhFtPhM7INT1H_F3QbuX/s1600/images+(1).jpg" height="372" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">My reaction to people who spoil books without me asking them to.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
</b></div>
Also, I can't really quite decide yet what I want her to do yet, and I feel like if its going to be like this if I find out:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiltwcHZFCBArc-9gZakVeePp1pDvFkt2asS7tZFZMGmWMDIzlPMIyQ7AtSSWZNmayJ96Mn-r90ThUOI7MzIu0JJi5OaqQ-L9qgCzN2UMgq47x05TIeWhTahR9c44Ff-5uGc9epZrJogJ6C/s1600/images+(2).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiltwcHZFCBArc-9gZakVeePp1pDvFkt2asS7tZFZMGmWMDIzlPMIyQ7AtSSWZNmayJ96Mn-r90ThUOI7MzIu0JJi5OaqQ-L9qgCzN2UMgq47x05TIeWhTahR9c44Ff-5uGc9epZrJogJ6C/s1600/images+(2).jpg" height="273" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So, I am perfectly willing to discuss this book with you, but please note I am at this part so DO NOT SPOIL it for me! I'm on page 64. (exactly 25%) I am at the part where Mia is talking about the time her mom snuck her into a casino, and how the ICU is like that. DO NOT SPEAK TO ME FURTHER THAN THAT! Also please do not comment with Have you read about {insert part I haven't read here}? that spoils it!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<i>City of Fallen </i>begins with Simon and Isabelle on a date. While they are talking about Luke and Jocelyn's wedding, to subjugates come and force Simon to meet a vampire named Camille. When Simon goes and meets her, she asks him to join her to defeat Raphael. She gives Simon 5 days to decide. Meanwhile, Clary, Jace, Luke, amd Maryse find out there has been a recent string of dead Shadowhunters. When given the chance to talk to one, they find out someone named Camille did it. At one of Simon's band practices, a guy named Kyle auditions for the role of lead singer. He gets the part and allows Simon to move into his apartment. I hope Kyle doesn't turn out to be evil. </div>

<i>City of Glass </i>continues with Sebastian / Jonathon and Jace fighting, Jonathon is about to kill Jace when Isabelle comes up and slices his hand off with her whip. Sebastian hardly notices and continues to fight, until Jace uses a trick Valentine taught him and kills him. Meanwhile, Clary finally makes it to Lake Lynn and Valentine captures her. She faints, and when she is awake again she cannot speak or move easily. Jace comes and tries to rescue her, but Valentine proves he can even kill his own son. He uses Jace's blood in the mortal cup. Them he summons Raziel says Valentine is too demonic for an angel, kills him, and offers Clary a wish come true. She wishes for Jace. The angel tells her to close her eyes and when she opens them he is alive. This book ends at a celebratory party. I think this book ends to happily for a Cassandra Clare book. I sense danger soon in the next book (I was right)</div>

<i>It's Raining Cupcakes </i>is about a girl named Isabel, whose mom opened a cupcake shop in an old laundromat. Throughout the book Isabel describes stages in her life using cupcake analogies! About half way through the book, Isabel decides to enter a baking contest to win a trip out of old boring Willow, to busy New York. Isabel's mom urges her to enter a cupcake recipe, so <i>It's Raining Cupcakes </i>(the name of the shop) will get good publicity. Isabel makes fantastic chocolate jam tarts, but settles for a s'mores cupcake instead. It turns out, her mom submitted the tart recipe for her! Isabel's tarts win the contest and she is able to go to New York. I hope there is a sequel about New York. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy baking, because this book includes recipes and baking analogies. </div>

When Alec brings Simon to the Clave , it turns our the new inquisitor is <b>OUT OF HIS MIND </b>and locks Simon in a jail cell. The inquisitor threatens to starve him if he doesn't lie about the Lightwoods. Meanwhile, Clary draws a rune to portal to Idris. She ends up in a poisonous lake and starts hallucinating. Luke takes her to his sister's house where she cures her and lets Clary stay with her. The next day, Clary sneaks out of her window to see Jace. I wonder what Jace will think. I hope he is not mad. I would recommend this book to Cassandra Clare fans because she continues to write awesomely in this book.</div>

<i>City of Glass </i>starts with Clary preparing to go to Idris to meet Ragnor Fell, a warlock who can cure her mother. The only problem is that her long lost 'brother' (at this time I had no clue that they were not siblings) Jace doesn't want her to go. He tells her friend Simon to convince her not to go. While Simon is there, a bunch of demons attack. Jace, Alec, and Isabelle are able to fight them off, though Simon is injured. Jace brings him through the portal to Alicante. In Alicante, Jace has to explain to the Clave why a downworlder is there. I hope Simon will be okay.</div>

<i>City of Bones </i>is the first book in the <i>Mortal Instruments </i>series. It starts off on the main character, Clary's, birthday. Her best friend Simon heads off with her to Pandemonium. While in Pandemonium, Clary witnesses a murder. She tells Simon and he goes to get a security guard. While Simon is gone, Clary starts yelling at the 'people' who just committed the murder. Their names were Jace, Isabelle, and Alec. Jace explains to her that nobody else can see them. When Simon gets back, he and Clary go home. The next day Clary and Simon go to a poetry reading for their friend Eric. Jace shows up and takes Clary outside to talk to her. While they are talking Clary's mom calls and tells Clary not to come home. All Clary hears is a large CRASH in the background before her phone dies. Frantically, she grabs Jace's censor, which she thinks is a phone, and runs home. </div>

Hey everyone! I just wanted you to know that from this day on I will review any book (as long as it's appropriate) for you. Even if it is not published and can only be found on Wattpad, that's okay. If you comment on any post at all, or send me an email (that email thing will probably work better) I will be sure to read it. </div>

So I finally finished <i>When You Reach Me </i> by Rebecca Stead and I would give it about 3.38 stars. I was kind of hard to read, but still entertaining just the same. <i>When You Reach Me </i>is about a girl named Miranda who suddenly gets these notes from a stranger. It includes a lot of stuff about time travel and it goes really deep sometimes. I would recommend this book to science fictions lovers probably because it has a lot of concepts I didn't quite understand, but science fiction lovers would. All in all it was a pretty good book.</div>

<b>The Elite</b></div>
The Elite ends with America getting an assignment to come up with a plan to help Illea in someway. She doesn't know what to do, but at the last second she comes up with a plan: to destroy the castes!!! When she presents this plan on <i>The Report</i> the king is furious! He takes Maxon into his office for a talk that gets America sent home. Just before she is going to leave, Maxon tells her she can stay. Then the book ends and makes me wait until May for the next book. (Yes I put that in my actual reading log) I think the king should rethink his attitude.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>The Prince</b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b> </b>The Prince is a novella about The Selection. It starts with Maxon's birthday party. He meets his friend Daphne. Daphne explains that she is in love with him. Maxon is sad because since Daphne is the daughter of the king of France, he cannot marry her. The book goes through the first chapter of The Selection and includes 2 chapters from Elite. I think the author did a good job. I hope she writes more novellas. I would recommend this book to Selection fans because you wouldn't understand the book unless you read The Selection.</div>

I've come up with a new thing for this blog. It will be called e-book chronicles. On kindle e-books I can quickly make notes and highlights, and then go through them at the end of the book (or during if I want.) I really wanted to make use of that on here, so not only will I put them at the end of each review I do over an e-book, but I will also do it for every e-book I have. I only have a few e-books since I don't read on my kindle much (except for like the billion samples and wattpad). So, anyway, that's what's upcoming!<br />
Keep on readin',<br />

Okay, so I got to see the special 8:00 premiere of Divergent last night! I LOVED it! The only major thing I noticed that were wrong were:<br />
<br />
<ol style="text-align: left;">
<li>Edward was not stabbed in the eye</li>
<li>Uriah was not in the movie. (He is rumored to be in movie 2)</li>
</ol>
Yeah. That's coming from the most nit-picky movie watcher alive. I could probably be a great critic. I don't understand the bad rotten tomatoes rating at all. So.... since I am quite the story teller, I will just write a mini-story about my night. Hey! That covers non-fiction!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
I came home from school with Kenlie and we looked at pretty much every clip from Divergent that has been posted on YouTube, and my entire Divergent board on Pinterest. (Oh, you want to follow me? Click <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/smileyfacesara/" target="_blank">here</a>) After a few hours, we got dressed in our faction costumes. (I was Cara from Erudite, despite the brown hair. Pics on that to come soon!) After faction-ing up, we left and picked up our other friend Aubrey to go see the movie. The movie was absoulutley fantastic! Tris and Christina were on our cups! Loved it! So anyway it was probably the 2nd best book to movie transfer. The best is still Catching Fire. </div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
Well, anyway, that was my night!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
See you later,</div>
